Shortly before my 70th birthday, I questioned myself as to how to identify myself. There were too many religious, political and philosophical identities that I could identify with but each had been bastardized over time such that the original meaning of each was hidden or even lost. Ultimately, I created the word Responsibilitarianism. Interestingly, this word was already being used in the economic world. But I wanted to broaden it. Thus this blog.
The word Responsibilitarianism breaks down as follows:
Respons – Respond to a call for help, to a situation, or to the circumstances
-ibilit The quality of being able to be or having the capacity to be, or the state or condition of having the specified quality
-arian: A person who supports or practices
-ism: Thought, doctrine, theory, system, or practice, often associated with philosophical or political ideas
Since then, I have given this theme a lot of thought and wanted to put it into words.
